This weekend at the Double Play Slam at The Ranch the 14u Heroes went 4-1. All the boys played awesome ,and contributed in every game. Will Forbes, Ryan Franks, Chase Lewis, Nathan Longoria, and Mitchell Delong pitched great. We had great at bats and hit the ball all over the park. Noah Jennings and Josh Salmon pounded the ball all weekend helping us get to the championship game. On the defensive side we played pretty flawless with the help from Jack Rocchio, Mason Graham, and Nik Day playing most of the tournament in the outfield running down balls. As far as the infield, we had some really great plays by Ryan Franks at short, and Robert Caldwell at second. The boys played tough and spot on all weekend. They battled through games and never gave up. I’m proud to be their coach and excited about the rest of the season. We didn’t finish the tournament the way we wanted ,but they worked so hard and played their hearts out. Go Heroes!!
